A nuclear test veteran from Thorpe St Andrew says he fears his family
could suffer birth defects for generations because of his exposure to
radiation more than 50 years ago.

David Freeman was one of 23 thousand servicemen involved in developing a nuclear bomb on Christmas Island in the 1950s and 60s.

Since then, several of his children and grandchildren have suffered
genetic defects – but the Ministry of Defence denies any link.
